Responsibility
Support Active Directory and email environment including the O365, ADFS infrastructure. The O365 SME will be supporting the environment by applying best practice, perform risk analysis, assess the overall AD/Exchange/O365/Teams/SharePoint, etc. environment and identify gaps.
Additionally, the position will be tasked with producing and/or updating various reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. These reports include metrics, KPIs, and other data to provide management and senior leadership views into the operational aspects of the team, as well as other ongoing efforts and roadmap items.
Activities
- Manage, maintain (review the health of the AD & O365 environment), and document all integrations
- Applying best practice and perform risk analysis, assessment of the environment, identify gaps, summarize the findings, and create tasks to implement recommended solution to close the gaps

- Create a daily task list of activities a standard AD/Exch/O365 etc. environment should undergo to maintain stability and performance
- Maintain and upgrade path of all infrastructure services related to and contained in the Active Directory infrastructure
- Lead and mentor junior active directory and O365 exchange online administrator.
- Stand up domains, facilitate a divestiture, plan our client’s migration strategy as the client divests systems to another company, identify the required tools, and execute the strategy
Required knowledge
- Must have excellent English writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed
- Must be an Active Directory 2008, 2012, 2016 SME and must know Active Directory inside and out
Strong knowledge of O365 exchange online and Teams - Strong knowledge of AD zone types as well as multi forest design and communications
- Senior level experience as an Active Directory systems engineer
- Comprehensive background in managing exchange servers, Windows server and workstation-based operating systems (including Windows 7 & 10) via Active Directory Group Policy
- Strong experience in the upgrade / maintenance of all facets of a large/enterprise Active Directory environment and O365 operational day-to-day.
- Knowledge PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge of ADFS integration and management

- Administering and managing O365 products
- Mergers and acquisitions experience
- Strong experience in AD best practices
- Experience standing up domains
- Must be able to work in a team environment with a “can do” attitude
- Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
- Working knowledge of system hardening (STIGs, SRGs, regulatory compliance)
- Preferred MCSE certification
