Senior Test Automation Engineer to help analyze, define, create, and test the automation cases of infrastructure and service monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Identify requirements for automation (data, security, technical challenges, etc.)
- Perform automation testing of web based and mobile applications.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
- Responsible for creating automated tests for web/mobile applications.
- Able to carry out analyses of business processes, user requirements, and functional and technical requirements of a software project.
- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Work with Product Owners to plan for needs related to automation.
- Lead and coordinate activities to deploy the scripts and test cases created for monitoring.
- Anticipate project challenges and risk scenarios and prepare, lead, and execute proactive mitigation strategies to ensure optimal results.
- Produce documentation for end-to-end automation scenarios and testing strategy.
Duration:Possibility of extensions. No opportunity for FTE conversion
Location: Fully remote position in Mexico
Shift: Regular business hours, Monday-Friday. No travel required.
Must Haves:
- 5-7 years of experience in software test automation (web/mobile)
- Proficient in Spanish (English is a plus)
- Knowledge on web automation using JMeter/Selenium/Cypress/Postman
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript to be able to read and understand front-end web code
- Some prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum
- Experience in testing architectures, including microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Good Knowledge or understanding of different web/mobile/API security mechanism.
- Experience in designing and implementing test strategies for new information systems or modification of existing information systems (functional, performance, security, exploratory, automation, etc.).
- Experience designing, developing, and running scripts to automate testing.
- Hands-on experience in Application Performance Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, CA SOI.
